Folly hit decent form & it was a tight match with everyone’s weights much improved.
Who said “you can’t teach an old dog new tricks”?? Well… senior citizen Clive Fenby certainly proved them wrong!! Clive drew peg 1 which was wanted by about 50% of the lads with the other 50% absolutely dreading it !!
Clive didn’t make the same mistake as I did last week, as he fished at only 11m & nowhere near “the jungle” in order to avoid the snags. Unlike last week the fish were more obliging & ventured out of their cover allowing Clive to catch stockies all day to finish in top spot with 57:00.
I nicked 2nd place with 55:12 off peg 3. I caught a mixture of stockies & carp to 4lbs on the pole 14.5m with 4mm expanders & corn.
Martin Wood took 3rd with a lovely combined net of silvers & carp totaling 54:03 off peg 26, by fishing the margins!!
