Saturday 31st Jan’26 Open Match on Folly
The weather was much better than the forecast had led everyone to believe with clear blue skies and still conditions.
Despite the good weather, expectations were low due to the recent heavy rain and cold nights. Thankfully the Folly fished really well and everyone had plenty of bites and a few fish.
Mark Magaharan, (Mags), won the match with 41:03 off peg 20.
Mags alternated between the waggler and feeder to land 2 big carp and a few smaller ones on maggot.
Matt Waites took 2nd place off peg 26. Matt had a lovely ghostie of 13:05 and 17:08 of silvers. Matt fished the pole at 14.5m with maggots on the hook over groundbait.
