8th April Match Result from Folly Lake Risby 2017

Folly hit good form again, especially for those at either ends of the lake, with the lads in the middle having to settle for silvers.
Sadly in one way the match was won off peg 1 again…BUT happily it was Phil Sonley who drew it and did the biz! Phil not only recorded his 1st ever Folly Open win, but he also got a new “PB” with a lovely net of stockies & a few ‘proper’ carp totaling 74:13.
There was a good battle for 2nd & 3rd between Nige Roberts & Jim Ashman on pegs 19 & 24. Both fished the wag, but Nige came up a few feet off the deck with maggot to nick 2nd place with 63:08. Jim fished full depth with corn & had to settle for 3rd with 56:04.
